Building up to the release of their third EP in the coming months, Foxtide have released the jubilant, propulsive “Hold On.” The song is a dancey, summery anthem, full of sunny guitar hooks and nonchalant vocal belts. It reads a half-Vampire Weekend, half-Strokes; a tribute piece to the golden age of indie rock. It’s beachy and imploring without taking itself too seriously, a piece of DIY, woe-is-me surf-rock made for midsummer.
