New York indie-pop four-piece Frankie Cosmos have revealed a video for their new song, “Being Alive.”
The new single is taken from their forthcoming 18-track LP, Vessel, out on March 30 via Sub Pop Records.
Following their lead single, “Jesse,” “Being Alive” is a rapid-fire slacker-pop tune featuring frontwoman Greta Kline’s sweet, comforting lead vocals as she sings of deep personal insecurities (“I’m collapsing inwardly”), cymbal-heavy percussion, and plugging and chugging indie-rock guitars.
The band’s video features a mix of live performances and behind-the-scenes footage from the band’s 2016 and 2017 European tours. It also features marionette puppets of the band’s likenesses who perform the song until they get abruptly abducted by an Irish space dog and are transported aboard his space ship.
Frankie Cosmos have also unveiled a new North American tour beginning in April, in support of Vessel.
