Girl Talk Announces First North American Tour in Eight Years

Gregg Gillis, better known by the moniker Girl Talk, will be touring North America behind his sample-based music project for the first time in eight years, starting on April 29 in Cleveland and ending June 7 at Governors Ball in NYC.

Girl Talk first broke into the electronic music scene in 2006 with the album Night Ripper, followed by Feed the Animals in 2008 and All Day in 2010. Some of the most notable Girl Talk mash-ups include Rihanna and Fugazi, Elton John and Notorious B.I.G., Pixies and Nas, and countless other clever pairings.

Girl Talk’s All Day was made into a 12-part short film that chronicles New Yorkers dancing through the city to the album, with stops in DUMBO, the Staten Island Ferry, Central Park and other recognizable NYC locations.

Tickets for the upcoming tour go on sale Friday, Feb. 14, right here. See the dates below, beneath Paste’s interview with Girl Talk at Bonnaroo 2009.
