Glastonbury Festival Announces 2019 Lineup, Featuring Stormzy, The Killers, The Cure

The lineup for this year’s Glastonbury Festival has been announced, and it features headliners Stormzy, The Killers and The Cure. The eye-popping lineup also includes performances from the Wu-Tang Clan, Tame Impala, Janet Jackson, Ms. Lauryn Hill, Kylie Minogue, Liam Gallagher, Miley Cyrus, Vampire Weekend, Janelle Monáe, Santigold, Rosalía, Johnny Marr, Lizzo, and Kurt Vile & The Violators, among many others.

The festival is returning this year after a fallow year in 2018, which, for those of us who are unfamiliar with farming jargon, is when they periodically take a year off to allow the festival grounds to recover from being trampled by thousands of people.

This year’s performance will mark the fourth time The Cure have headlined the festival, a feat matched only by Coldplay. The Guardian reports that The Prodigy were also set to perform this year but were forced to cancel after the passing of frontman Keith Flint.

Glastonbury 2019 will take place June 26-30 at Worthy Farm near the village of Pilton in Somerset, England. Tickets for this year’s festival reportedly sold out in half an hour, with a portion of the proceeds going to charitable organizations like Oxfam, Wateraid, Greenpeace and more.
