Gorillaz Announce First North American Performance in Seven Years

Count 2017 as a year of “first[s] since” for the Damon Albarn-helmed Gorillaz.

Humanz, out on April 28, is the project’s first LP since 2010’s The Fall, and now the project has confirmed its first North American performance in nearly seven years.

On Saturday, July 15, Albarn and collaborators are playing at the Le Festival d’été de Québec in support of the aforementioned Humanz.

The festival, which runs for 11 days (July 6-16), also features headlining gigs from Metallica, Muse, The Who and Kendrick Lamar. As of now, it’s one of two announced shows for Gorillaz along with their own Demon Dayz Festival on June 10.

While waiting for any upcoming Gorillaz shows (and Humanz on April 28), check out the 360-degree video for “Saturnz Barz,” which includes snippets from all four of their new singles—you can listen to those here.
