Exclusive: English Psych-Rockers GRDNS Share Spellbinding New Track, “Roulette Love Gun”

English psych-rockers GRDNS have shared “Roulette Love Gun,” their third single from their forthcoming EP, out this summer via Dance To The Radio.

The quartet hails from Bradford, England, and has previously supported bands like Gengahr, Husky Loops and whenyoung in the U.K. GRDNS are lead vocalist and guitarist Jacob Lyons, guitarist Sam Gledhill, bassist Cameron Harrison and drummer John Fitzpatrick.

Produced by James Kenosha (Pulled Apart By Horses, Dinosaur Pile-Up), “Roulette Love Gun” follows the release of the band’s previous singles “Night Dance” and “Juniper.”

Their reverb-soaked, new psych-pop single juxtaposes Lyons’ velvety, soulful lead vocals with the band’s wailing, spellbinding guitars. “Roulette Love Gun” showcases the band’s intricate vocal melodies, contagious grooves and meticulous guitar work without losing the track’s sense of free-flowing effortlessness and breezy atmospherics.

Talking about the lyrical inspiration behind their new single, the band says, ”’Roulette Love Gun’ is a dangerous mind game of revolving love interests and possibilities where you gamble your emotions for bragging rights, but you lose if you fall in love. The lyrics are about someone who’s lost the game and invested too much emotion into someone and now they can’t afford to gamble away any more emotion even though they want to.”

GRDNS are set to make their debut festival appearances at Live At Leeds and Gold Sounds in the U.K. in the next few months.
