Grimes Featured on New K-Pop Track “love4eva”
Photo by Mike Windle/GettyGrimes is nothing if not versatile, as shown by her collaborations ranging from Janelle Monae to now K-pop girl group LOONA/yyxy on their new single “love4eva.”
While it is a bit difficult to discern Grimes’ contribution to the track, one can assume she had a hand in the song’s synth-heavy break in the middle, or perhaps the production overall, which provides an interesting backdrop for the group’s glittery pop vocals. The track appears on the group’s new EP, Beauty & The Beat, out now. Grimes described the song as “dark chaos magic.”
Thankfully, we should expect to hear more from Grimes soon, as she has been teasing a new project. In February, she responded to a fan on Twitter saying we could be getting the follow-up to 2015’s Art Angels in the fall. Since then, she posted a tracklist of “working titles” on her Instagram story earlier this month, with song titles like “Nymphs at Versailles” and “blaze forever like a useless star,” and tweeted descriptions of the four songs that are the closest to being done which, well, we’ll leave them up to your interpretation.
Check out the “love4eva” video, Grimes’ 2013 Daytrotter Session and her recent tease tweets below.
