Gothic art angel cyberpunk is such a good look for 2017.
Multi-media artist and producer Grimes has released her self-directed video for “Venus Fly,” which was previously Tidal-exclusive. “Venus Fly” is a collaboration between Grimes and Janelle Monáe from Grimes’ widely acclaimed 2015 album Art Angels.
The video is about seven and a half minutes long, and we love every minute of it. Monáe is as fierce and beautiful as ever, and the psychedelic, gothic visuals are arresting in every shot. Grimes kills it on a flaming violin, and the accessories in the video are all-around fantastic (gold tassel sunglasses? Fingerless metal gloves? Balloon-popping eight-inch nails? Yes, please).
