Real Estate lead guitarist Matt Mondanile is not going to join the band on the rest of their North American tour, or any other, for that matter. Today, the band announced that solo artist Julian Lynch, who previously collaborated with Real Estate, would replace Mondanile so that Mondanile can “continue to focus his creative energy on side project Ducktails.”
Real Estate will continue working on their new album, set to be released in early 2017, with Lynch joining in. “We’re excited to have Julian on board for our live shows and our new album, which is currently in progress,” the band wrote.
