Watch Hamilton Leithauser’s Playful New Video for “I Don’t Need Anyone”

Former Walkmen frontman Hamilton Leithauser has shared the video for his song “I Don’t Need Anyone.” The song appears on his debut solo LP, Black Hours, which he released last month.

While the influential indie rockers called it quits late last year, Leithauser’s video is packed with former Walkmen family members. Directed by guitarist Paul Maroon, it follows Leithauser and Walkmen soundman Christopher Colbert on a big day out.

The two begin their day with an awkward breakfast, swim (where Colbert simply plays annoyed towel guy), drive, chug beer and even take a helicopter ride. All the while, Colbert seems pleasantly miserable and sarcastic, living the song’s title “I Don’t Need Anyone.”

At the end of the video, we see a helicopter go down, but we also see a blooper of Leithauser and Colbert having a laugh, so let’s hope they’re alright. You can take a look at the video above.

Black Hours is out now.
