Watch the Music Video for Hayley Williams’ New Single “My Friend”

Hayley Williams, frontwoman of the acclaimed mid-aughts rock band Paramore, is releasing a solo album this spring, Petals for Armor, and everyone is ready for it. On Thursday, Williams released the third single from the forthcoming record, “My Friend,” along with a lyric music video with some heartwarming footage of companionship. Petals for Armor is out on May 8.

“My Friend” follows the singles “Over Yet” and “Roses/Lotus/Violet/Iris,” which was a collaboration with boygenius members Phoebe Bridgers, Lucy Dacus and Julien Baker. In February, Williams released Petals for Armor I, the first EP containing solo songs. The songs being released currently will comprise the Petals for Armor II EP, and eventually both works will come together to form the complete Petals for Armor album.
