Hayley Williams of Paramore Announces Solo Material Coming in January

Paramore have been pretty quiet for the past couple of years since their excellent fifth record, After Laughter, but it seems we don’t have much longer to wait to receive new material from frontwoman Hayley Williams. She took to Twitter on her 31st birthday, Dec. 27, to wish fans a happy new year, extend thanks for birthday wishes and reveal that she’s “putting out new music” in January.

From the sounds of it, this is solo material on the horizon. “With the help of some of my closest friends,” she wrote, “I made something I’m going to call my own”:

Earlier this year, Williams appeared on the American Football single “Uncomfortably Numb.” Aside from her music career, she’s been hard at work with her cruelty-free hair dye company, goodDYEyoung.
