James Blake Announces North American Tour for The Colour in Anything

Music News James Blake

English producer and singer-songwriter James Blake has announced a North American tour in support of his latest album, The Colour in Anything, the followup to 2013’s Overgrown. The “Retrograde” singer dropped the surprise album earlier this month amid rumors of collaborations with Justin Vernon (of Bon Iver) and Kanye West after pushing the release date back several times, but the extra effort that Blake has poured into the LP has proven to be well worth it—the album has been received with both critical and popular acclaim, and an extensive tour to promote it is welcome news for his North American listeners.

Blake will be kicking off his tour with several stops in the UK, including an appearance at Glastonbury Festival, before swinging over to Japan for Fuji Rock and heading to Australia for a five-day stint before coming to the states. The North American leg of the tour begins with a performance at Eaux Claire Festival (the brainchild of Justin Vernon) in Wisconsin in August and wraps up in October in Los Angeles, Calif. at the Hollywood Palladium.
