The prophecy foretold in “Mr. Tillman” has come to pass: Jason Isbell’s here, as well, and he’s joining Father John Misty on the road.
Isbell and Misty’s first-ever co-headlining U.S. tour begins in San Diego on June 6, with stops in Chicago, Detroit, Brooklyn, Philadelphia and Houston along the way, before concluding in Tulsa, Okla., on June 29. The 18-show run features support from Jade Bird (June 6-25) and Erin Rae (June 27-29).
Isbell and The 400 Unit—Derry deBorja (keyboards), Chad Gamble (drums), Jimbo Hart (bass), Sadler Vaden (guitar) and Amanda Shires (fiddle)—are touring behind their Grammy-winning album The Nashville Sound, while Misty is supporting his acclaimed God’s Favorite Customer, released last year. Both LPs landed on Paste’s lists of the best albums of 2017 and 2018, respectively.
Pre-sale begins for Isbell and Misty’s tour on Wednesday, Feb. 13, at 10 a.m. local time with fan pre-sale code “FJMISBELL.” General on-sale starts Friday, Feb. 15 at 10 a.m. local.
