EXCLUSIVE: Jeffrey Silverstein Unveils Live Performance of “Clear Cut”

Last month, Portland, Oregon folk balladeer Jeffrey Silverstein released his sophomore album Western Sky Music. Pairing beautiful, dynamic acoustic instrumentals with immense love songs about romance and nature, Silverstein’s work is a beautiful meld of ambient and country. With pedal steeler Barry Walker Jr., pianist Ryan Oxford, bassist Alex Chapman and drummer Dana Buoy in tow, the work on Western Sky Music is as lush as it is passionate and ambitious.

Ahead of an upcoming, two-week run of West Coast dates, Silverstein has unveiled a live, in-studio performance of “Clear Cut”—a crawling, delightful four-minute instrumental that is evocative of the singer/songwriter’s daring sonic explorations. The video was shot and edited by Austin Abbott, and Diana Erickson and Tyler Beus provided additional camera work.
