Justin Bieber has been added to the Chris Martin-curated FIFA World Cup Final Halftime Show lineup, joining Madonna, Shakira, and BTS as a co-headliner. The program, which is the first of its kind for the tournament, will take place at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey on July 19, where the final match will be played. It will also feature Burna Boy, conductor Gustavo Dudamel and PS22 Chorus, along with Coldplay and Sesame Street. Burna Boy and Shakira performed alongside J Balvin at the World Cup’s opening ceremony, held at Mexico City’s Azteca Stadium.

Staged by FIFA and Global Citizen, the 11-minute halftime show supports the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund, which aims to raise $100 million to expand children’s access to education and soccer worldwide. The Fund has already raised $50 million and will match $1 from every ticket sold to World Cup matches, donating it to the tournament. “The FIFA World Cup brings the world together in a way nothing else can. I’m grateful to be part of this halftime show, and even more grateful knowing it’s already helping expand access to education for children around the world,” Bieber said in a statement. His last live appearance was at Coachella in April.

“This is the single largest gathering of artists united for a cause since Live Aid, and it could well be the most-watched 11 minutes of broadcast music performance in history,” says Hugh Evans, co-founder and CEO of Global Citizen. “These extraordinary artists, representing every corner of the globe, are coming together to help create opportunities for children everywhere through the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund.”
