Country sensation Kacey Musgraves will release her first holiday album, A Very Kacey Christmas in October, featuring Leon Bridges, Willie Nelson and the Quebe Sisters. Produced by Misa Arriaga, Kyle Ryan and Musgraves herself, the album includes four festive original tracks, co-written by Musgraves, in addition to eight holiday classics.

“I really wanted to create a whimsical throwback holiday record, one that evokes feelings of nostalgia and simpler times,” Musgraves said in a statement. “I think that the fine musicians and brains that were a part of this project have helped me create a body of music that can be added to people’s classic collections.”

Inspired by Nat King Cole, Bing Crosby and the signature sounds of the ‘40s, ‘50s and ‘60s, A Very Kacey Christmas is Musgraves’ interpretation of Christmas standards, influenced by her emotional perspective on the holiday season.

“It would have been easy to simply copy old versions of these songs that have been around forever, but it was very important for us to build arrangements that are totally new and very me,” said Musgraves.

A Very Kacey Christmas is due out Oct. 28 via Mercury Nashville, and will be available on vinyl Nov. 18. Find the album’s tracklist and cover art below.
