Kacey Musgraves Announces North American Tour with Natalie Prass, Soccer Mommy, More

Kacey Musgraves announced a headlining, North American tour kicking off early next year, and she’s recruited some indie heavyweights to join her on the cross-country journey. Soccer Mommy, Natalie Prass, Liza Anne and Sinclair are all making appearances at various points during the Oh What A World: Tour, which commences Jan. 9 in Indianapolis, Ind. before winding through locales like New York, Chicago and Musgraves’ native Texas and finishing up March 21 in Birmingham, Ala. The tour also includes a three-night residency at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, and twin shows in L.A. and Austin. Tickets go on sale this Friday, July 20 at 10 a.m.
Musgraves also recently wrapped a touring stint with Harry Styles. Prior to that buzzy run, her even buzzier album Golden Hour dropped in March. Her third full-length LP (not including her 2016 Christmas project), Golden Hour garnered Musgraves many a rave review and converted many a country curmudgeon to a western-disco proselyte. In many ways, Golden Hour broke country boundaries, pulling from a spread of genres. Touring with pop star Styles and now with non-country artists may seem peculiar, but if you listen to Golden Hour closely, it just might make sense. Last week, she also shared the glitzy music video for Golden Hour disco number “High Horse.” Watch her gallop from office to karaoke club right here.
Presale tickets, as well as previously announced European dates, are available on Kacey Musgraves’ website. You can see the Oh What A World: Tour dates further down below, as well as the coinciding support.
Back in 2015, a few months after the release of her second LP Pageant Material, Kacey Musgraves stopped by the Daytrotter studio. Listen to her laid-back session below.
