Music News Kanye West

To call Kanye West’s Saint Pablo Tour stage set-up groundbreaking is both true and not true. ‘Ye’s eye-poppingly innovative floating stage, pictured below, defies both convention and gravity.

West took flight last night at the Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, unveiling his skyward stage during the Saint Pablo Tour’s first show. Per Billboard, it appears Yeezus is the first musician to spend an entire show suspended above their audience. The rapper was tethered to the stage, which was moved around the arena via a pulley system, with only a giant video screen occupying the standard, floor-level stage. At one point, West was even forced to pause the show when fans tried to grab a line attached to his stage, which hung about 20 feet from the floor.

As for the show itself, West’s 32-song set focused primarily on his latest, The Life of Pablo, which in itself put a surprising spin on traditional album releases. Find the show’s full setlist below, via Fact, and feast your eyes on images and videos of West’s floating stage beneath that.
