Kendrick Lamar Shares Cover and Tracklist for DAMN.

This all still feels like it’s moving very quickly. Just a few weeks ago Kendrick Lamar was cryptically teasing something with a “IV” on his Instagram. Then we got the “The Heart Part 4” a day later. Next up was a bonkers new single and video that featured Lamar’s head on fire and papal attire. Then an April 14 release date for this new record was unveiled.

Now, next up in the logical progression is the album’s artwork and the title, revealed in a pair of posts on the rapper’s Instagram. Lamar’s gone relatively laconic with this one and is just calling it DAMN. That sort of terse naming is reflected in the tracklist, which is entirely filled with one-word titles such as: “BLOOD,” “LOVE,” “FEAR” and “GOD.” Elsewhere, Lamar’s got a team-up with Rihanna called “LOYALTY” and a tune named “XXX” with a U2 assist (Yes, U2). And the record will feature production from artists such as James Blake. So there’s seemingly both a leanness and expansiveness going on with this album that will be fascinating to hear play out once it drops.
