Khalid Attends the World’s Coolest High School in “Young Dumb & Broke” Video

Khalid’s “Location” was one of the most iconic debut singles in recent history. The then-18-year-old wasn’t yet graduated from high school when the song took off and eventually received an all-star remix featuring Kehlani and Lil Wayne. Now, the 19-year-old singer is on his second single from his record American Teen, and it has just as much promise. The video for the single, “Young Dumb & Broke,” is an homage to formative high school years and was filmed in an actual high school.

Khalid’s imagined high school has a star-studded staff, and the some of the coolest and influential kids around as students. Kel Mitchell from Kenan and Kel and All That plays a cafeteria worker with a knack for dancing, and Wayne Brady plays a hilarious janitor. Khalid’s friends (or should we say classmates?) who make an appearance include social media personality Nathan Zed, rapper Buddy and Fifth Harmony’s Normani Kordei. Class superlatives are also given out, including Class Clown, Most Likely to Not Give A Fuck and Best Hair. Khalid and Kordei are given the titles of Prom King and Prom Queen, respectively.
