Prolific Australian psych-rockers King Gizzard & The Lizard have extended their upcoming North American tour.
Their tour will begin on May 31 at L.A.’s Hollywood Palladium and will also make stops in Chicago, Toronto, Atlanta, Philadelphia, Boston, Milwaukee and other cities, including three consecutive shows at New York’s Brooklyn Steel (the first two dates are already sold out).
The band released their latest album Gumboot Soup in December of last year to complete their wild and seemingly impossible goal of releasing five albums in one year. Along with Gumboot Soup, they also released Flying Microtonal Banana, Murder Of The Universe, Sketches Of Brunswick East (featuring Mild High Club) and Polygondwanaland, all in 2017.
Paste featured Sketches of Brunswick East at #15 on our list of the best albums of 2017. Madison Desler described it as having “a technicolor, metropolitan dream-state—a stoney walk around romanticized cities that only ever existed in songs played on ‘70s AM radio.”
