Kurt Vile has announced a new slate of solo tour dates in support of his 2018 album, Bottle It In. He recently unveiled a short documentary shot just before the record’s release, (bottle back), which showed Vile and The Violators rehearsing for the first big tour of the album cycle in the Catskills. For these newly announced 2020 tour dates (with the exception of one Thermal, Calif., show in January), Vile will be performing without his backing band for the first time in a decade.
His 2020 dates are also notable as they find him joined by Australian singer-songwriter Cate Le Bon. Le Bon released both her fifth album, Reward, and a collaborative EP with Deerhunter’s Bradford Cox, Myths 004, this year. A press release promises that “fans can expect Kurt to collaborate live on stage with Cate as well as Stephen Black and [Warpaint’s] Stella Mozgawa.”
