Watch the trailer for Netflix’s upcoming Kylie Minogue docuseries

The inaugural trailer for Netflix’s three-part docuseries on Melbourne singer Kylie Minogue is here and replete with archival footage and dramatic pauses. Kylie will chronicle Minogue’s rise from an Australian soap opera to international pop stardom, as well as the singer’s battle with breast cancer. Filmmaker Michael Harte, who worked on the Michael J. Fox documentary, Beckham miniseries, and Three Identical Strangers, will direct the series.

Amid shots of the singer twirling before thousands of fans and weeping into her loved ones’ arms, Minogue narrates, “Life makes sense to me on stage. I don’t know where we’re going, and there’s certainly no end.” Her song “All the Lovers,” from her 11th studio album Aphrodite, plays during most of the trailer. Minogue’s sister Dannii, ex-boyfriend Jason Donovan, and record producer Peter Waterman are set to appear in the series. Nick Cave, a close collaborator of Minogue’s, calls the singer a “force” in the trailer. “It’s all outward giving.” Kylie will be released on May 30 on Netflix. Watch the trailer below.
