Lady Gaga Details Forthcoming Album, Discusses Florence Welch Duet

Little Monsters have already been blessed this week with Lady Gaga’s first new music in three years, the Kevin Parker-produced single “Perfect Illusion.” It seems, though, that the dance-pop queen isn’t done dropping bombshells. During a BBC Radio 1 interview, Gaga revealed that Florence Welch, Beck and Father John Misty will be making appearances on her yet-untitled forthcoming album.

“Me and Florence Welch did a duet together,” she said. “I started to work on an idea for a song that I really wanted to do with a girl.” Gaga added that, to her, Welch is “if not the best, one of the greatest vocalists in the world.”

In the same interview, Gaga explained that “Perfect Illusion” serves as commentary on the fake aspects of social media. “People feel pressured to live up to that perfect illusion in their real lives,” she said. “This is about accepting that and letting go.” Listen to “Perfect Illusion” below, and find Gaga’s full Radio 1 interview here.
