LCD Soundsystem Announce Second Brooklyn Steel Residency

Earlier today, we told you about LCD Soundsystem’s plans to reissue some older material on vinyl later this month. Now we’ve learned that the band has even more exciting news to share—James Murphy and Co. will return to Brooklyn Steel on Friday to perform a week of shows.

This new run of concerts will mark the dance-rock outfit’s second residency at Brooklyn Steel, following their performances back in April to officially open the new Williamsburg venue, where they debuted three new songs. Since then, LCD Soundsystem has released two new songs, “Call the Police” and “American Dream,” and finally announced that their upcoming album is complete.

Tickets for the seven shows (June 16, 17, 19, 20, 21, 23 and 24) go on sale June 15 at 10 a.m. The band will then continue performing through the summer music festival circuit, including at Pitchfork Music Festival Australia’s Splendor in the Grass.

Can’t wait for the shows? Check out this exclusive LCD Soundsystem performance from way back in 2007, available only on Paste:
