It’s on Good Thing, a rich, cohesive album of love and lust songs, where Bridges finds his groove. His 2015 debut, Coming Home, is a neo-soul wave of smooth listening. Good Thing, however, is replete with funky hooks, heavier R&B influences and downright dirty guitarwork, a product of Bridges’ Texas blues roots. And, as previously implied, he looks pretty slick doing it, too.
Good Thing was released in May. Read the Paste review here, and listen to the album here. Bridges also recently performed “Beyond” live in Nashville with country singer Luke Combs.
Back in 2016, Bridges played to a sold-out crowd at The Filmore in Philidelphia, Penn., and we played witness. Explore the photo gallery here.
