Lil Wayne has apologized to fans after he did not appear at his own concert on Tuesday in Bangor, Maine. The concert was due to be the first of his 20 Years of Carter Tour, an extension of the Carter VI tour which enjoyed a successful run in 2025 across the United States and Canada. After opener 2 Chainz finished his set, the crowd was left waiting for some hours before being told at 11 p.m. that the show was over and Wayne would not be appearing—and with no explanation as to why.
“My Maine fans I’m so sorry,” Lil Wayne wrote in an Instagram story the following day. “The show is being rescheduled to July 28. Please hold on to your tickets, they will be honored for the rescheduled date.” He went on to say that additional information would be emailed to ticket holders: “I ain’t shit without you I can’t wait to come back and give you the show you deserve.”
