Lindsey Buckingham hasn’t allowed his recent (and highly scrutinized) departure from Fleetwood Mac to hinder his agenda. The multifaceted artist announced Tuesday a new compilation album, Solo Anthology – The Best of Lindsey Buckingham, out Oct. 5 on Rhino Records, and a tour to match. The whopping collection will include cuts from the breadth of his solo career, including live, reworked and original versions of songs from Out of the Cradle, Under the Skin, Law and Order and Go Insane.
Solo Anthology will debut digitally and as a three-disc CD set, with a set of six LPs to follow on Nov. 23. In addition to his solo material, Solo Anthology also incorporates tracks from his 2017 collaborative album with Christine McVie, and live versions of classic Fleetwood Mac songs “Tusk” and “Go Your Own Way.” Two previously unreleased songs, “Hunger” and “Ride This Road,” round out the tracklist. You can preorder the album here.
Fleetwood Mac removed Buckingham from their roster in April. Following the split, the band replaced the guitarist with former Heartbreakers musician Mike Campbell and Neil Finn of Crowded House. Buckingham originally joined Fleetwood Mac in 1975 alongside then-girlfriend Stevie Nicks. He wasn’t a founding member of the group, but he was responsible for writing hits like the aforementioned “Tusk” and “Go Your Own Way.”
Buckingham’s tour in support of the album kicks off Oct. 7 in Portland before making stops in cities like L.A., Dallas, Washington, D.C., New York and Boston.
