Listen to Exclusive Recordings from Iconic New York Venue Fillmore East’s Final Concert

Bill Graham’s live music venue Fillmore East, located on Second Avenue at East 6th Street in New York City, was opened on March 8, 1968. The venue only operated for three short years, but during that time, it hosted some of the greatest acts in modern music history. From The Beach Boys to Led Zeppelin, Jefferson Airplane to B.B. King, nearly every performance at Fillmore East became the stuff of legend.

The venue closed on June 27, 1971, with The Allman Brothers Band, The J. Geils Band, and Albert King as its final performers. That concert also featured The Beach Boys, Edgar Winter’s White Trash, Mountain, and Country Joe McDonald as special surprise guests. On the 47th anniversary of the venue’s closing, we’re revisiting its legacy with the exclusive live tracks below. Listen and pay homage to real rock and roll history.
