Local Natives Release Lyric Video for New Song, “Fountain of Youth”

In anticipation of their next album, Local Natives have premiered a third song off of Sunlit Youth, “Fountain of Youth,” along with its lyric video.

The LA-based indie rockers transform “Fountain of Youth” into a millennial anthem, a rallying cry. With a jaunty attitude, they proclaim in the chorus that they “can do whatever (they) want, (they) can say whatever (they) mean.” They dreamily yet boldly assert a want—no, a need—to chase those ambitions, damn it.

Sunlit Youth, the follow-up to Local Natives’ sophomore effort Hummingbird, is due out Sept. 9.
