LouFest Announces This Year’s Lineup

Music News

St. Louis music festival LouFest has announced their lineup for this year’s festival taking place Sept. 10-11 in Forest Park for its seventh year. Headliners include LCD Soundsystem, Chris Stapleton, Lauryn Hill, Band of Horses, Big Gigantic, The Kills, Buddy Guy and Shakey Graves. Seven local bands will also be playing.

“This 2016 lineup also includes more St. Louis-based artists than we’ve been able to do in the past,” said Rich Toma, a partner with Listen Live Entertainment in a press release. “We’ve definitely made a concerted effort to showcase this amazing homegrown talent – it’s no secret that St. Louis has a nationally recognized music scene with many emerging and established artists representing a wide range of genres. We’re really looking forward to seeing these artists up on the LouFest stages.”

The festival brings together a mix of indie rock, R&B, Americana, blues and country music onto four stages. This year, the festival has grown and more than 50,000 attendees are expected, compared to 36,000 attendees in 2014. Regular 2-day passes are on sale through the LouFest website for $95. VIP tickets are also on sale for $350.
