On April 24, Lucy Dacus’ Forever Is A Feeling Tour stopped in New York City. Taking the stage at Radio City Music Hall, Dacus played tracks from her four solo albums and boygenius’ debut, the record. The Virginian, a true intro-track savant, began her show with “Hot & Heavy” and closed it with “Night Shift” while sprinkling classics like “I Don’t Wanna Be Funny Anymore,” “Nonbeliever,” and “VBS” into a Forever Is A Feeling-heavy set. Show opener jasmine.4.t even came out to perform Hozier‘s “Bullseye” part, and the unreleased “Bus Back to Richmond” got some its tour debut during the encore.
In his 8.0 review of Forever Is A Feeling, Eric R. Danton wrote: “Though Dacus has never shied away from themes of physical intimacy or desire, she’s more frank than ever about them here… Not only does Dacus take a more immediate lyrical approach on Forever Is a Feeling, she broadens her musical palette here too, right from the start.”
Katie Gavin, who was a Paste cover star in 2024, performed songs from her debut solo album What a Relief, and jasmine.4.t kicked off the entire night. In January 2025, we named jasmine.4.t the Best of What’s Next, with editor Matt Mitchell writing: “You Are the Morning is a human album full of first loves, new gathering places, renewal and thanks both given and received. Of a body once ‘unacceptable and abandoned’ but now so sweet it can hold the entire world. I need these songs, and maybe you need them, too. Because, to hear this album is to surrender to a love without pretense—a love arranged not into the shape of resolve, but into the shape of time beautifully gained.”
Our good pal Emilio Herce was on the scene capturing all three sets. Check out his gallery below:
