Nashville singer/songwriter Lydia Luce has released her latest single, alongside the announcement of her third studio album Florida Girl, out October 27 via Third Man Records. “Other Side” is an elegant, poised piece of country-rock; an atmospheric meditation on the inevitability of death buoyed by Luce’s crystalline voice and a psychedelic instrumental backtrack featuring a bevy of synths, rough guitars and steady drumlines. Luce describes the track as “pondering on the afterlife,” inspired by the rift which formed between her childhood beliefs and her current ones as she grew up and out of the religiosity of her youth.
