M.I.A. has shared the third single off of her forthcoming album A.I.M., titled “Bird Song.” “Bird Song” follows “Borders” and “Go Off” from the unreleased record, which is slated for a debut on Sept. 9 from Interscope.
The single was produced by Blaqstarr, a longtime collaborator of M.I.A., who also co-produced “Go Off” with Skrillex. M.I.A. has also promised another version of “Bird Song,” this time produced by Diplo, which remains unreleased. The Blaqstarr version, however, officially titled “Bird Song (Blaqstarr Remix),” is the version that appears on A.I.M.
It’s exciting to see other collaborations that A.I.M. might have in store, particularly since M.I.A. recently revealed that Zayn Malik also contributed to the album on a song titled “Freedun.”
