Maggie Rogers Releases the Invigorating Single “Split Stones” as “a Parting Gift”

The note thanked fans for all of their support and described the growth she’s experienced through music in her last year of college. She wrote, “This is me saying goodbye for a little while. Here’s to the end of the beginning and the start of everything else.”

With “Split Stones,” Rogers is exiting her college stage with a bang and getting ready to write a new chapter about everything that has happened since, though it sounds like she may take some time to do so. The track offers encouraging lyrics, using the singer’s’ melodically husky voice and rhythmic instrumentals as a vehicle.
