Massive Attack Announce New Single, “Dear Friend”

In a rather unconventional move, Massive Attack have announced a new single that is yet to be released. The single “Dear Friend” will be the group’s first release since their EP Ritual Spirit earlier this year. It will initially be released exclusively on a limited-edition vinyl 12” at their show in Bristol this Saturday—a digital version will be released “soon,” according to the band.

The new song will feature spoken-word poet James Massiah. Parts of “Dear Friend,” as well as other new songs “Come Near Me” and “The Spoils,” can be heard via the band’s app, available on iTunes. Find their announcement here.
