Michael Franti & Spearhead Release Colorful New Music Video

Michael Franti & Spearhead transport their laid-back summer melodies to breathtaking Bali in their newest video for “Summertime Is in Our Hands.” Directed by Franti, the video portrays a woman’s soul-searching adventure in the paradise city.

Franti discusses the meaning of “Summertime Is in Our Hands” in a mini documentary on the website for his organization Do It For the Love, which helps people with life-threatening illnesses see their favorite music live. “I hope this video moves people’s hearts and makes people appreciate every precious second that we have in this life,” Franti says in the video (embedded below), “And also helps people to begin to talk more openly about grieving.”

“Summertime Is in Our Hands” comes off of last year’s SOULROCKER, Franti’s ninth studio album. Michael Franti & Spearhead are currently on the “Love Out Loud” tour, which will last until this October.
