Mount Eerie Announces Dates for East Coast Tour

Mount Eerie’s Phil Elverum will be touring along the East Coast this fall to promote his latest album A Crow Looked at Me, according to a press release.

The album is an dark and deeply personal ode to Elverum’s wife Geneviève Castrée, who died last year of stage-four pancreatic cancer. Fittingly, Elverum will perform acoustic sets—just him and his guitar—in intimate venues like churches and music halls as he makes his way down the East Coast.

Elverum will perform music from the album, which has been praised for its detailed documentation of his grieving process and dealing with such an abrupt loss in addition to new material. Read our April interview with Elverum on navigating life after death and our review of the tragic A Crow Looked at Me.

The album also made our list of 2017’s best albums (so far)—find out where it fell here.

The tour kicks off August in Vancouver before hitting venues in Chicago, Philadelphia, Brooklyn and more in September. Check out the complete itinerary below.
