My Chemical Romance Announce Their First U.S. Tour Dates in Almost a Decade

New Jersey emo icons My Chemical Romance will officially tour the U.S. after their reunion show in Los Angeles last December. The band technically disbanded in 2013—however, frontman Gerard Way announced the band would be reuniting back in October of 2019.

The U.S. tour is set to begin in Detroit on Sept. 9, stopping in the band’s hometown of Newark, N.J., on Sept. 22, and concluding in Las Vegas on Oct. 11. Tickets will go on sale Jan. 31 at 12 p.m. local time.

The band announced their upcoming U.S. tour via a cryptic YouTube video, “A summoning,” wherein a young man laces up his Converses, brews a cup of coffee with a N.J. Dept. of Corrections mug at the ready, and encounters ungodly visions of MCR’s iconography after consulting a Ouija board—including a flashback to imagery from the “Helena” music video.
