MYLAB – MYLAB

Ambient jazz drummer and producer Tucker Martine and jazz keyboardist Wayne Horvitz have crossed paths many times since their first meeting over a decade ago, playing together in Four Plus One Ensemble and working the groove-based Zony Mash assemblage. The pair conceived the new MYLAB material together and accented it with players from their various groups and associations. The result is a fascinating hybrid of avant jazz, free funk and electronic manipulation that never settles for a single sound but slips easily and successfully between genres.
