Last weekend, Newport Folk Festival’s rocked Rhode Island for the 66th time. Its rich history, which began in 1959 and has carried on beautifully every summer since 1985, was on full display for three days. Rain or shine, Newport Folk is among the most important musical events ever and remains as such. It’s a testament to the power and community that this business can still offer.
