Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds Announce Live EP Distant Sky, Out in September

Earlier this year, Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds shared one of their most intimate live performances with the world via one-night-only cinema screenings. Now, exclusive audio from that very show will be available on a 12’’ vinyl pressing and digital services worldwide in the form of Distant Sky—Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds Live in Copenhagen.

Distant Sky was filmed at Copenhagen’s Royal Arena in October of 2017, and captured an intimate and explosive live performance by Cave and company. In performing songs from both the award-winning Skeleton Tree and their entire oeuvre, the band’s current tour is stunning audiences and critics worldwide. The band’s touring roster includes Nick Cave (vocals, piano), Warren Ellis (piano, keyboards, violin, tenor guitar), Martyn Casey (bass), Thomas Wydler (drums), Jim Sclavunos (vibraphone, percussion, piano), George Vjestica (guitar) and Larry Mullins (keyboards, piano). They are currently headlining festivals across Europe—Primavera Festival in Barcelona, Spain and All Points East in London, U.K., to name a few—and they will cross the Atlantic to play shows in both Latin and North America for nine dates during the month of October of this year.

Distant Sky—Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds Live in Copenhagen will be available worldwide on Sept. 28 via Bad Seed Ltd.—you can preorder it here.
