Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds to Release New Album, Film in September

Music News Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds

Austrailian rock immortal Nick Cave is teaming up with the Bad Seeds once again to unleash new music onto the world.

In September, the band will premiere an untitled performance film of new material at Los Angeles art theatre chain The Lammele.

Since being reported, the link to the film’s listing now currently only shows the band name with a “Not Rated” logo.

Pitchfork reports that the film will be out Sept. 8 while the untitled album will release the following day. Apparently, the film will serve as the debut of most of the album, as no singles will be released.

“It will be shot in black and white, color and 3-D. The idea is to create an experience that is immersive but also elegant, that feels both immediate and archival,” read the theater’s listing.

Cave has worked with film before, releasing the pseudo-documentary 20,000 Days on Earth two years ago. His last album with The Bad Seeds was 2013’s awesome Push the Sky Away.
