Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds Announce 2017 Tour in Support of Skeleton Tree
Photo by Kerry BrownNick Cave & The Bad Seeds have unveiled their first 2017 tour dates in support of their excellent new record Skeleton Tree. The band’s touring itinerary will take them to Australia and New Zealand in January, then all over North America in late May and June.
Cave will be accompanied by a lineup consisting of Warren Ellis, Martyn Casey, Thomas Wydler, Jim Sclavunos, Conway Savage, George Vjestica and Larry Mullins for the tour. The band is riding high on critical acclaim after the release of their latest; in her review for Paste, Paula Mejia notes that Skeleton Tree “strips down embellishments and brings to the forefront sinister bass lines and a synthesizer that will widen the tear in your heart a little more with every note.”
The band also recently announced that One More Time with Feeling, the Andrew Dominik-directed companion film released alongside Skeleton Tree, will return to theaters for another nationwide run. The film will screen at participating theaters beginning on Dec. 1—find out if One More Time with Feeling is playing near you here.
