Live at the Paste Studio: Night Beds – “Borrowed Time”
Video by Brad Wagner, DJ Lee, Lauren Damaskinos, Audio by Bob Mallory, Photo by Patricia CornejoWhen Winston Yellen released Ivywild back in August, the epic, experimental mix of R&B and electronica was a far cry from the more standard singer/songwriter fare of his debut Country Sleep. We love both records, but it was nice to hear Yellen stripped down to just acoustic guitar and his voice when he stopped by the Paste Studio in NY during CMJ. He played a handful of songs, including Bob Dylan’s “It Ain’t Me Babe” before his brother and frequent collaborator Abe Yellen showed up and joined him on “Borrowed Time” from Country Sleep. Listen to “Borrowed Time” above and check out the other songs here:
“It Ain’t Me Babe”/”Untitled”
“Cherry Blossoms”
“There Was Enough”/”Hope For Everything That Is Not Here”
