Video Exclusive: Fat Mike Speaks as NOFX Says Farewell

Fat Mike sat down with us before NOFX’s final New York performance on July 14 at Brooklyn Paramount to talk about The Punk Rock Museum, the NOFX Final Tour, and some of the punk rock greats. Stacy Dee from Bad Cop Bad Cop also sat with us to discuss what it means to her to play this historic show, and to talk about BCBC’s upcoming 2025 album.
Fat Mike on The Punk Rock Museum and NOFX’s Final Tour
In the middle of NOFX’s madcap last weekend in NYC, during which we slept maaaaaaybe six hours total, we recorded sessions with two of the tour’s supporting artists, Shiragirl and Crazy & The Brains. See their Paste Sessions below, both recorded downstairs at Bar Freda in Ridgewood, Queens.
Crazy & the Brains share two songs from their new EP Past Futurism, including “Hold Me Close,” and the new single “Raw Skin.” They also deliver a fresh take on the quintessential CATB song “I Don’t Deliver Pizza Anymore,” and a killer interpretation of “Punkrocker,” originally written and recorded by the Swedish electronic/alternative group Teddybears, featuring Iggy Pop.
Between the second and third songs, CATB frontman Christoph Jesus paints the picture of the band’s upcoming show called Freak Nation, happening on October 5th at TV Eye in Ridgewood. Jesus has created an opportunity to “curate a night of our own, featuring some of our favorite artists from the New York scene,” promising a “multidisciplinary beacon for freaks, fairies, outcasts, weirdos, punks, and everyone else who never quite found a floor to dance on comfortably.”
