The Outside Lands 2019 lineup has landed, with at least one exciting surprise to distinguish it from the lamely homogeneous festival bills we’ve been handed lately. As announced last week, Paul Simon will briefly suspend his retirement from touring to headline the Bay Area festival, and, as Another Planet Entertainment, Superfly and Starr Hill Presents announced Tuesday, he’ll do it alongside fellow headliners including Childish Gambino, Twenty One Pilots and Kacey Musgraves.
Outside Lands 2019 will also feature high-profile performances from Australian electronic producer Flume, folk-rock veterans The Lumineers, pop-punk godfathers Blink-182 and hip-hop/soul outfit Anderson .Paak & The Free Nationals. Further down the bill are exciting names like Leon Bridges, Mavis Staples, Santigold, Better Oblivion Community Center (aka Phoebe Bridgers and Conor Oberst), Toro y Moi, Wallows, Yaeji, Masego, Phosphorescent, Tierra Whack, CupCakKe, Cherry Glazerr, Weyes Blood, Still Woozy, Miya Folick and Alex Lahey.
