Paul McCartney has confirmed his return to the U.S. stage with his new Freshen Up Tour. The first five dates have been announced, which will be McCartney’s most recent series of concerts since the 2016-2017 One On One tour, which attracted some two million fans globally to watch him perform.
The Freshen Up Tour will be Paul’s first time on the road following the release of his brand new studio album, Egypt Station, out Sept. 7 on Capitol Records. Macca is expected to perform dozens of songs from his solo, Wings and Beatles repertoires.
The Stateside tour will feature Paul’s band of the last almost two decades: Paul “Wix” Wickens (keyboards), Brian Ray (bass/guitar), Rusty Anderson (guitar) and Abe Laboriel Jr (drums).
McCartney will begin his tour on May 27 in the Carolinas, travel through Kentucky and Wisconsin, and make his way to Illinois, where he will finish out the first leg of his tour in Moline, Ill.
