Paul McCartney has announced the reissue of 1971’s Wild Life and 1973’s Red Rose Speedway, both due on Dec. 7.
The albums, created during McCartney’s time with Wings, are part of his Archive Collection project. While both will be available separately, Wild Life via a three-CD/one-DVD set and Red Rose Speedway via a three-CD/two-DVD/one-Blu-ray set, a massive Wings 1971 – 1973 box set will also be available including both box sets and a new live album Wings Over Europe.
Of the earlier album, new exclusive content such as rough mixes, home recordings, footage of rehearsals and a 128-page book written by David Fricke, illustrating what went on behind-the-scenes of the album, will be available. For the latter, a reconstructed version of its original “double album” concept, as well as the James Paul McCartney TV Special and the never-before-seen film The Bruce McMouse Show, will be included, among other rarities.
